Joe Hao

In his role at Aspen Power, Joe Hao is responsible for overseeing the ongoing management, maintenance, and performance optimization of the company’s renewable energy assets. Prior to its acquisition by Aspen Power, Joe worked at Safari Energy for seven years where he founded the asset management function. He currently oversees both Asset Management and Operations & Maintenance functions (O&M) for the company.  

Prior to Safari Energy, Joe gained experience in the oil & gas and petrochemical industry in Asia and the Middle East. He holds a master’s degree from Columbia University in Energy & Data Analytics and taught the course International Project and Infrastructure Finance at the university from 2020-2021. Joe has also volunteered for the UN and Columbia in Sri Lanka and Afghanistan and is actively involved in a community for energy transition in Africa.
