Jorge E. Vargas

Jorge is a Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Aspen Power. With over 15 years of experience in development, operations and principal investments of renewable energy projects, Jorge has developed, acquired, financed, and constructed projects and structured joint ventures across all verticals of the solar industry, including: Utility, Residential, C&I and Community Solar domestically and internationally. 

Most recently, Jorge served as a Board Member of PearlX Infrastructure, a smart grid infrastructure platform that was acquired by Antin Infrastructure. Prior to this role, he was an Operating Partner at Energy Impact Partners, a leading venture capital firm focused on the clean energy transition. Jorge also held senior roles at Spear Point Energy, PFMG Solar, and AMP Solar Group, where he spearheaded company and solar portfolio sales transactions to leading organizations like Constellation New Energies and Goldman Sachs Renewable Power. Prior to that, Jorge was the Co-Head of the Solar Desk at Morgan Stanley Commodities where he focused on origination and project financing of principal investments in solar projects. Jorge’s early background in investment banking and solar project financing at Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, and JP Morgan contributed to his comprehensive expertise in origination and financial strategies within the solar industry.
